FAQs

(Frequently asked quesions)

What is permanent jewellery?
Permanent jewellery is a custom-fit bracelet, anklet, or necklace that is welded closed instead of using a clasp. It’s a seamless, stylish piece that stays on until you decide to remove it.

Does it hurt?
Not at all! The welding process is quick and completely painless. The spark never touches your skin, and we use safety precautions to ensure a smooth experience.

What if I need to remove my jewellery?
You can easily remove your jewellery with a nail clipper, or alternatively, you can visit us for a professional removal. If you’d like it reattached later, we offer re-welding services from as little as £11.11. If you need to remove your jewellery for a hospital appointment, such as a scan, we will provide this service free of charge upon proof of your appointment date.

Can I wear permanent jewellery through airport security?
Yes! Our jewellery is lightweight and does not set off metal detectors. It is made from high-quality, non-ferrous metals like gold-filled and solid gold, which typically do not set off metal detectors. These materials are low in conductivity and contain no iron, making them airport-friendly. However, in rare cases, highly sensitive scanners may detect multiple pieces or thicker chains.

What metals do you use?
We offer high-quality materials, including sterling silver, gold-filled and solid gold, to ensure durability and long-lasting wear.

How do I take care of my permanent jewellery?
Since your jewellery is always on, it may develop buildup over time. Simply clean it with mild soap and water or the polishing cloth we provide you with to keep it shiny.

Will my jewellery tarnish?
All our jewellery are highly resistant to tarnishing, but exposure to harsh chemicals like chlorine, perfumes, and lotions can also affect the appearance of all metals. With regular cleaning and proper aftercare, tarnishing can be minimised or prevented, keeping your jewellery looking its best.

How accessible is permanent jewellery for individuals with disabilities?
Permanent jewellery eliminates the need for clasps, making it a convenient option for those with dexterity challenges or mobility impairments. Additionally, some jewellers are developing accessible collections to better serve customers with disabilities, ensuring that everyone can enjoy stylish and functional jewellery.

Is there an age restriction for permanent jewellery?
We offer permanent jewellery to customers from the age of 9. All minors under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, who will need to sign a consent form on their behalf before the appointment.

Can anyone get permanent jewellery?
While certain health conditions, such as heart murmurs, pacemakers, defibrillators, severe skin conditions (like eczema or psoriasis), or metal allergies, may prevent someone from participating in the welding process, we are still committed to creating a beautiful piece for you. For those unable to have a welded piece, we offer the option of bespoke jewellery with a clasp, allowing everyone to enjoy a personalised and meaningful design. Pregnant individuals are also encouraged to consult with their doctor before having permanent jewellery.

How long does the process take?
Most appointments take around 45 minutes, depending on the design and type of jewellery. We’ll make sure you’re comfortable and happy with your piece before we finish!

Can I get more than one piece welded at a time?
Yes, you can! Many of our clients love stacking bracelets or getting matching pieces. Just let us know how many you'd like.

Do you offer gift cards?
Yes, we offer gift cards for our permanent jewellery and services. It’s a perfect gift for someone special! Just email us or drop us a DM on instagram to find out how.

What if my jewellery gets damaged?
If your jewellery gets damaged, we offer repair services. We provide a 30-day warranty for faulty welds, and we’ll fix it free of charge within this period. After 30 days, a small fee may apply for repairs.
